There are countries in eastern Europe who are not part of the balkans and are applying for Schengen visas which allow them to travel the Schengen zones. Migrants from countries like Syria are applying for Visas from these countries because there is a better chance for them to get the visa if they say they are from that country. This takes away visas from actual citizens of balkan countries such as Albania. This is alarming because The people who deserve the right to be fairly selected for these Schengen visas are having their chances lowered by migrants who are trying to cheat the system and “steal” these visas from the people who actually should be receiving them. As of recently the “Dublin Regulation” has been lifted. This law stated that if migrants were to move from their European country of origin and found in another country they would be deported to their country of origin. This is an issue because it almost encourages the movement of refugees around the European continent.
Another effect of the European migrant crisis is that the increased number of Migrants are causing countries to have to pick and choose what kind of migrants they are going to allow into their country. The countries may decide this based on religious views and nationality. Leaders from the EU have stated that they prefer non muslim migrants, for the sole reason which is that they are beginning to see a growing discomfort towards the number of muslims living in their
