Why is being creative important, even in seemingly “non-creative” jobs? How about in daily-life situations? Give examples of real-world examples of when creativity is vital. We can sustain the high “divergent thinking” level that we see in kindergarten students by doing many things like in the article “The Creativity Crisis” the teachers of a public middle school in Ohio met the curriculum but included creative thinking also by problem solving. It is simple little fixes to our education system that can improve divergent thinking hugely. We should focus more on problem solving and improving creativity rather than standardized testing. Being creative is important, even if you seem to not need creativity in your job it still improves your skills and it is a huge part of any career even if you think it does not.
