We learn the difference between a community and a population. Although we did not cover specifically the topic relating to human population it does give us a visual aid of what a population is to understand the terms under and over. It does just not relate to that topic but the fact the we are able to understand that if a country is overpopulated with humans, we have to think about the animals as well, this planet is just not our home it 's the home to several species. So overpopulation does not only affect us. In one of the articles that I read I came across a certain statement that really caught my attention, we are constantly cutting out our trees and forest in order to build supermarkets or apartment complexes, so living areas are starting to look bigger than pasture areas. Over population is certainly a problem that affects certain countries more than others, in countries such as China, over population has become a big issue, and that explains the law as to why they can only have one children and they have to pay a fine for additional children. This at some point sounds inhumane but it is the method that China is using to balance their very overpopulated country. Why should a country decide such thing you may ask yourself, but many of us have to understand that resources play a big role in trying to control the population, as stated in one of the articles that I read, “Overpopulation is rapidly depleting the earth 's resources.” (Wooldridge, Frosty) As humans one of our goals as mankind is to reproduce, but how do we carry on with reproducing when our generation is slowly depleting our resources. We need to balance everything out; making every country do the same thing China is doing is of course not the correct way to approach every country but people in countries that are very over populated should understand that resources are limited.
