Although some nursing errors cause no harm, as many as 400,000 patients die annually in hospitals from fatal but preventable mishaps (James, 2013). In efforts to decrease these problems, on April 4, 2004 the FDA ruled in favor of making bar-code wristbands mandatory for medication administration. By using these bar-code wristbands patients admitted to the hospital are directly linked to their medical records. A few of the reasons for these statistics are inaccurate representation in the media, misinformation on the importance of seeking treatment, or not being aware of the different treatment options. My special place is on the Coney Island beach under the pier. Usually when I take myself to this place, it isnt the dirty, moldy beach that we see when we go to Coney Island but it is absolutely beautiful.…

Each week Time magazine releases a new issue to its four main markets: The United States, Europe, Asia and the South Pacific. The cover image and graphics often vary for each issue depending on the country it is released in and this tactic was no exception in December of 2011. While the foreign markets received a cover highlighting the Egyptian Revolution, which was perhaps the most important global story at the time, the US cover boasted an image of an innocently drawn character with a headline that read, “Why Anxiety is Good for You”. The obvious implication that comes about as a result of these contrasting covers is that foreign cultures are more outwardly exposed to worldwide occurrences, while Americans are continuously more sheltered. Except, why is this the case?…
