Every day in people’s lives, they attempt to create a tomorrow that is better than today: A sense of motivation. For the present and future generations, the human race progresses to make a statement and preserve the materials that are given, for those of the future which makes an impactful difference. This is because we have an obligation to people of the year 2200 and so forth to make sure they prosper into a greater and improved society. The human race is meant to be continuous and to not care for the Earth and to not have the priority of improving society, overall, life would begin to become pointless. But, why should people take future generations into consideration? Perhaps not, due to the fact, they do not know the forthcoming individuals

It is harmful towards the surrounding people and those yet to come, causing to alter the future into a scenario that was not supposed to exist due to careless actions of the existent. Pursuing careless actions may provide instant happiness for a small group of individuals. But, in the future it could harm others with health defects or other irreversible factors by paying for the consequences of their ancestors. This scenario seems unjust. However, in Nozick’s opinion, as long as people gain items through a just transfer it is an acceptable scenario and the government does not have the obligation to compensate for those point into such an unlucky situation. Nonetheless, it seems a little harsh that paying the penalty of prior groups for mistakes one had no position to cause it. It is selfish. Even though, “not all of these threats are human-made, but some of the most pressing certainly are…People who worry about these problems urge us to remember our obligations to future generations when fate depends so heavily on what we do today. We are obligated to stress, not to make the earth uninhabitable or to degrade the earth.” It is important because though the future generations rely on society to bring them into existence; people today use them as a method of bringing the efforts of those made to improve
