Pursuing careless actions may provide instant happiness for a small group of individuals. But, in the future it could harm others with health defects or other irreversible factors by paying for the consequences of their ancestors. This scenario seems unjust. However, in Nozick’s opinion, as long as people gain items through a just transfer it is an acceptable scenario and the government does not have the obligation to compensate for those point into such an unlucky situation. Nonetheless, it seems a little harsh that paying the penalty of prior groups for mistakes one had no position to cause it. It is selfish. Even though, “not all of these threats are human-made, but some of the most pressing certainly are…People who worry about these problems urge us to remember our obligations to future generations when fate depends so heavily on what we do today.
