A major problem in the society is teen suicide. This affects the community in a negative way. We lose friends, loved ones, and family. The person who decides to suicide could have had a life full of pain. They believe no one loves them or cares about them. When they decide to commit suicide the community, the friends, family, everyone who cared for the person come together and feel miserable for losing someone.
A question about this type of situation is, “what is being done to help?”. There are campaigns that help stop bullying, schools and students have pledged to stop bullying. School counselors are available as well as outside of school counselors. Schools also have assemblies and have made games where students have to interact in order to get through the games. It is a mental disorder that may happen to people who experience or witness intense violence or accidents. Some other things that cause PTSD include military combat, rape, domestic violence, assault, sexual molestation, sexual abuse, kidnapping, child abuse, severe verbal abuse, terrorism, torture, automobile accident, airplane accident, natural disaster, animal attack and threatening individual with a gun or knife. Some symptoms are flashbacks, rapid heartbeat, numbness, emotionally detached from people, sleep disturbances, anger, trouble concentrating,and amnesia. Women are twice as likely to experience PTSD as men. Anyone with PTSD is at high risk of suicide.
Suicide.org is a non-profit organization and website. The website gives you options on who to call. They will support you and give you advice when you need it. Above all, they will listen to what you have to say. Everything offered on the website is available to you 24 hours 7 days of the week.
