We never know where we will be meeting our next boyfriend or girlfriend but, lets narrow down some locations so our chances are better because, lets be honest we could all use the most help we could get. The whole boyfriend/girlfriend situations are not the business and believe me I know the struggle! I seem to always be in the wrong place at the wrong time when it comes to my love life; I cannot get it right! But, I am going to look into locations where our partner in crime may be patiently waiting for us, so we all have a better probability of finding the one. Lets look into online dating; it is no longer rare and is growing rapidly. According to the Pew Research Center, “The share of 18- to 24-year-olds who use online dating has roughly …show more content…
Online dating can be done anywhere! Our next date is at our fingertips, literally. We could be at the most dreadful places, the DMV, and find our mate online. Even though dating online is extremely convenient so is finding our partner at school, we have thousands of people to choose from. How much easier could school make it for us? We have to go to class anyways so might as well scope out the potentials. It is so nice to say we met our partner in college, like c’mon that’s a dream statement. The accessibility of a boyfriend or girlfriend is right in front of us, I’m serious they could be sitting next to us right now, how convenient is that! A bar could be convenient at times, we could be desperately needing a drink after work and our future husband our wife could have the same idea, bam! That was way too easy! On the flipside driving there could be annoying, how many hours are we willing to sit on the 405? Are we really going to venture out to a bar by ourselves? Planning a trip out is such a pain at times.
Out of all the options of locations of where we have a good chance of meeting our future mate I strongly believe school is where it will all go down. Being a die-hard online dater I was rooting for it to come up on top but school seems the most reasonable. School is the best location because it stands against other locations with having a lot more pros than cons when it comes to meeting someone special. Now that we know the best place to go find our loves; we all need to go test the waters! Good luck to us

Sarah B Stevens and Tracy L. Morris’s (2007) “College Dating and Social Anxiety: Using the Internet as a Means of Connecting to Others” expresses that individuals with high social anxiety do not necessarily use the Internet for online relationships although most people think otherwise. While there has been widespread controversy about whether or not the internet makes individuals more or less social, it seems to be dependent on the type of person that uses it. For example, extroverts usage of the internet is positive and they feel more involved in the community while high internet usage for introverts leads to less community involvement. At the same time lonely individuals seek connection through the internet more often than non-lonely people.…

Some points to consider in social life is the athletics, organizations, and people. At community colleges, they usually don’t have many athletics and organizations to offer because of their size. For instance, at IVCC, they only offer about nine sports and about 40 clubs (IVCC Athletics Department). Having that small amount of sports and clubs doesn’t really give something for everyone.
