Something that’s beneficial is something that helps you, whether it is health insurance given by an employer or welfare given by the government to people in need. When attendance at a gathering raises money for a good cause, that gathering is considered beneficial or a benefit in that good cause’s honor. If Curtis takes care of his friend Brad and after Brad gets better he gives Curtis a thank you gift, Curtis benefitted from taking care of his friend. Curtis’ time spent taking care of Brad was beneficial. The exact opposite of this would be illegal immigrants taking away American jobs and their entitled citizen benefits. Most illegal immigrants are unskilled, so for teens or poor Americans looking for starting jobs, it’s hard to find one because they are taken up by the immigrants. Teen employment helps them to develop a wide range of beneficial attributes, such as the capacity to take responsibility, develop time-management skills, overcome shyness with adults, and handle money. Things that are beneficial result in things that are fine, superior, or to have quality. Something beneficial creates things that are valid, genuine, authentic, and compelling. For example, something beneficial to your body, such as fruit or vegetables, results in quality and good results within your body. Another example might be putting a walking bridge over a busy road for college students’ protection, the project is beneficial to the students and results in protecting them and creating a safer community. Allowing illegal immigrants to come into the country brings in an increase in opportunity for a terror attack, something that doesn’t have good results.
