Illegal immigration has been a recurring problem in the United States of America for the past fifty years. Many intelligent individuals have formulated plans on how to fix this never ending problem. However, the federal government has not passed any legislation due to the cost of all the work that is required to fix this problem. Any regulation that will govern illegal immigration is neither cheap or popular with the illegal immigrants and their supporters, but a solution is necessary, due to the tremendous burden, drug trafficking, and increasing crimes that these illegal immigrants have incurred upon the United States. If the United States wants to resolve this issue, the government has two options. The first option is to cease all distribution …show more content…
More and more of these illegal Immigrants are receiving free government subsidiaries for housing, food stamps, day care, healthcare, disability benefits and schooling without paying any taxes. While our citizens are struggling to pay for the cost these necessities in order to live from day to day, illegal immigrants are getting these for free. Our government has many programs that will assist these illegal immigrants with housing and food purchases, while denying the same to our elderly and homeless. Many people claim that the skyrocketing cost of healthcare and daycare takes their entire paycheck, but our government still insist that the illegal immigrants are entitled to continue to receive both for free. Not only are the illegal immigrant getting government aid, they can also get disability benefits, even though they have not paid into this government program. There are a lot of our own citizens that cannot get disability benefits who have contributed into the program and are unable to continue in the workforce due to medical …show more content…
He also states that all Mexicans, legal and illegal, have the same dependable, reliable, and steady work ethic. The only difference is that illegal immigrants live in fear of being sent back to their homeland (206). Mexicans are not the only race group sneaking into the United States. However, they play a big part in it. According to “Cost and Benefits of Illegal Immigration: Key Issues for Government Policy,” written by Shelby Gerking and John Mutti, each year more and more illegal immigrants are coming over to the United States and more and more keep getting sent back to their homeland. In 1976, seven hundred ninety-three thousand ninety-two illegal immigrants were sent back to their home (71). Sadly, the number of illegal immigrants coming into our country and the number being sent back is vastly unequal. If the citizens want their jobs back America must build a wall. This would not only reopen the jobs that illegal immigrants are taking, but it would also create a lot of jobs during the construction of the wall. As most people know,
