Whether it is right or wrong that illegal immigrants cross the border to America illegally, I cannot stop wondering if I would take the risks that these families take, to give my child a better life. In my belief, a parent would sacrifice and do whatever they need to do just to make sure our families are safe. I look at the fact of these families not being illegal immigrants but human beings that need help. America is supposed to be considered the Melting Pot of the world. Which in my eyes means different cultures, race and beliefs living and coming together. I think about if these people are willing to take unimaginable and horrifying risks, just to get a chance for a better life for themselves and their families, then there has to be a very serious reason why they are attempting it. After watching some of the videos, which I plan to use in my presentation, my heart goes out to these people, seriously. Not only are they risking their lives to travel on a dangerous train to come here, but they are destined to have a future of hardships and struggles once they come to America. Furthermore, the way I feel about undocumented citizens coming here to America and we should try to find a way to help them leads America having issues on if we should or shouldn’t.
