When you see someone asking for food for their family or themselves, what do you do? Most people walk away, or ignore the situation. Others take the time to talk and give the hungry something to eat, so they don 't spend the day hungry. That is one less hungry person in the world. Thankfully, there are people who build food banks to feed the hungry families, and people.
Unfortunately, this hunger problem affected a married couple named, Josh and Gaby. They have three children named John, gavin and marietta. They were both living in a stable condition. Originally, Feeding America was founded in Chicago, Illinois in 1979 by a guy named John Van Hengel. It was his idea to to build a company that would help families and people in need of food. But this idea didn 't just pop up, he witnessed a tragedy that later gave him the idea of building a food bank.
According the the website of Feeding America, John Van Hengel (the founder) a retired businessman, was volunteering at a soup kitchen feeding the needed. One day, he saw there was a woman desperately going through garbage bags to find food for her children. John was kind enough to give her food, and she told him there should be a place where people donate food. That’s when the idea came to John to build a food bank. He started building little by little, until he finally finished. When the project was finished (1979), thousands of other food charity started donating food. Over the years, more and more people have been volunteering to help serve food for the hungry. More people means more donations, that could mean either food donations, or money donations. That is the beauty of helping someone that is hungry. That is why Feeding America made it their mission to help feed the hungry. They are against letting people starve, and want to help the world have one less hunger problem.

With hunger around the world, it is hard to keep track of all the people that have been fed by Feeding america. The graph you are about to see is a graph about how many people are starving in America. there are all types of ages on this graph. As you can see, there are more children starving than grown ups. But thankfully to feeding america, that rate has gone down by almost 30%.
I believe this organization is important because, I think there is not one person who has at least been hungry for at least 5 minutes. Feeding America has done a good job at making sure not everyone is being starved. They have saved lives of many families and people. Without the organization, I would agree that at least half of the hungry people would not live to see the next
