Where did the Future Go
The future that humans want is in jeopardy, the problem is not human. Artificial intelligence(AI) has been on the planet for about 75 years. The first AI was created to solve complex math and science problems. Humans just keep making AI smarter and smarter, they are now smarter than humans. The question is, who will be superior in the future humans or the AIs.
Over the time since the AI was invented until now, AI has changed the world and continue to change it. AI have became a lot smarter and only learn more as time passes. AI can be found in places like cellphones to cars to even stores. They have spread from the computer that the first was created in. AI have began taking jobs that humans can do for money. AIs can do jobs that humans do but only better than the people who have been doing it for the past 100 years. These AI would only cost pennies of electricity to do the job when people get paid minimum wage (CPG Grey). AI would never mess up their job and would never get injured during the work day as well. AI never get tired, drunk, high, hungry, and the list goes on, humans do (Kevin Drum). Why would anyone hire a human when they could buy an AI to do the job a lot better and don 't have to

Humans have been doing their own work for thousands of years and what will stop humans from doing that now. It was said that AIs could take human jobs and do them better and for less but it was never stated that the humans couldn 't outsmart the AIs. CPG Grey says AIs would cost less an hour but by changing humans out with them would cause the entire economy to plummet and No one wants that. Kevin Drum was right by saying that AIs would never get tired and sure that 's true but those are the things that make a human a

Kevin Kelly is a founding member of Wired and for six years served as executive editor. In the essay titled “Better than Human: Why Robots will – and Must – Take our Jobs”, featured in 2012 on the Wired website Kelly talks about how roughly 7 out of 10 Americans got fired all because robots took over their jobs. Kelly then goes on to explain how this will happen because “robots will think different”. Kelly firmly believes that robots are gaining smarts and that people aren’t accepting that robots are better than us. Kelly also states that there are still plenty of jobs for humans to do.…

Many themes have been present over the course of the book; A Space Odyssey, Some themes show that the progression of humanity comes with a great cost, though the theme that stuck out both to me and the other readers was that dependency and the trusting of technology can be very perilous. This theme sticks out the most due to the fact that it is very relatable to the real world as new, more advanced technologies emerge and the other reason being how technology affects the characters in the novel. I personally believe that we are commencing to get too affixed to technology, the average teen says that they can’t live without their phone, or television and with new technology being revealed every day such as the Hoverboard, IO Hawk and much more,…

However, AI can not be programmed to be creative for disruptive innovations. It’s called self-driving cars because it’s the cars’ sole purpose. The AI is programmed with tunnel vision. Secondly, AI is incredibly useful as it can assist or completely take over tasks that humans assume is tedious or stupid, but this could lead to AIs taking over jobs. The human population is continuously growing and with the lack of jobs, there will be a lack of money for the people.…

Movies like Tomorrowland, Surrogates, The Matrix, and Wall-E all has depicted that one day our advancement in technologies will turn against us as we try to achieve our perfect utopia using technologies. Movie like The Terminator has tried to depict that if we were to have artificial intelligent they would totally turn against us to rule the world. According to Ryan Dube, his article “How Hollywood Has Depicted Artificial Intelligence Over the Years” make some solid points on how artificial intelligence has been portrayed in movies. Due to the fact that most humans has a natural fear for robots, depicting the negative consequences of having artificial intelligence and have them trying to eliminate us would be more interesting and daring to watch which will attract more people to see the film and thus making Hollywood more money, which keep this negative depiction of artificial intelligent in our future going.…

As technology continues to advance with every passing minute, it seems as if the idea of robots taking over human jobs, whether it be physical or intellectual, no longer seems too far off from reality. While it currently seems likely that machines are on a path to take over human jobs, many still feel uncomfortable with this becoming their reality. Kevin Kelly in his persuasive essay, “Better than Human: Why Robots Will-and Must-Take Our Jobs, assumes that his audience is anti-machine job takeover, and attempts to persuade his audience through the use of logos. Kelly heavily relies on logos throughout his essay, it becomes his crutch as there is insufficient amount of strong evidence that prove his claim.…

One possible solution would be for people to pick up a certain skill or talent which is not easily replicable by machines or robots.[15] People should look for jobs which require intellectual intelligence; common sense, creativity, imagination, leadership and analysis. To conclude, one of the most important factor, that decides whether the Fourth Industrial Revolution will lead humanity on for many year ahead, lies in the hands of the people and the decisions they make. They need to focus more on empowering their lives, instead of relying too much on technology. Learning when to disconnect from the online world and appreciate the natural course of life will help to enhance their…
