“Life isn’t fair, it’s just fairer than death, that’s all.” (Goldman). There are many examples of unfairness and death in the book, The Princess Bride. It contains way more than that though. The story contains “ a tale of true love and high adventure, pirates, princesses, giants, miracles, fencing, and a frightening assortment of wild beasts.” (Goldman). A farm boy named Westley worked on a farm for Buttercup and her family. Buttercup and Westley later fell madly in love. After Buttercup expressed her love for Westley, he told her that he had to leave to go get a job. He promised her that he would come back for her, but never did. Buttercup was devastated because she thought he was dead. Later on she was asked to marry Prince Humperdink. She agrees, but promises that she will never love him. She was later kidnapped by three guys, Fezzik, Vizzini, and Inigo. A man in that was in black followed them and defeated all three of the guys, capturing Buttercup. In the book, The Princess Bride, Fezzik says “People in masks are not to be trusted.” (Lance). This is meaning that people need to be themselves and be unique because if someone doesn’t show who they really are, it would be hard to trust them (Lance). Real life examples are showing everyone who you truly are and being proud of it. An outside example is from the movie “Mean Girls”. A new girl that moved from Africa joins a new school in America. She is originally nice, but she later tries to fit in with the girls that think they run the school. She starts to act mean like them and become distant from her true friends. Her true friends don’t appreciate it and want her to be herself again. They want her to be the same mysterious African girl that they knew

The title of the book is to Kill a MockingBird because Tom Robinson was killed.
