The Prince and the Pauper, The Black Ship of Troy, The Apple of Discord, Yeh-shen all have many things alike and different but today we will only be focusing on behavior whys. In these stories, the characters, do some selfish and kind thing that either come with good consequences or bad consequences. That affect the character later on in the story. Today we will be talking about the good and bad thing in the story that they did. The Prince and the Pauper by Mark Twain the is the first we will be talking about. In the Prince and the Pauper the Prince said “have you any schooling”. Tom said “Very little your Highness a good priest who shares out house in offal court taught me from his books”. ( Twain page 341 line 74-78). The Reaction to this there is a little reassurance that it not that awful in Offal Court. There is someone there that can make it better for Tom. There is some court of kindness in Offal Court. How this effect Tom is he is able to know that he can be kind to out of his situation. The Black Ship From Troy now this one occurs with a bad choice the main character made. Paris (The main character) makes a really awful decision he takes an anthors man girl. Her step mom gave her very little food and the food she did have she shared with her fish which she caught and released and fed every day so out of that little for her mom gave her she gave some of it to her fish. That kindness right there. Then her fish dies (by Yeh-shen evil stepmom) Her fish can give her any if Yeh-Shen wants or more like need so she wish to go to the festival and her fish said that if she lost her shoes that he granted her he would never talk to her or granted any wishes again.
