was a big believer in foreign policies. He initiated the Alliance for Progress in 1961 with the goal to help Latin America region’s growth. Between 1962 and 1967, the U.S. supplied $1.4 billion per year to Latin America in hopes of better living conditions, financial institutions, tax laws, and administration. One of the biggest challenges of this policy is that countries in Latin America had a bad reputation of corruption and in some countries the possibility of communism. However, this policy was a big success and it exceeded the program 's original 2.5% growth goal of regional output per capita in Latin America with a 2.6% growth . Despite taking a big risk in spending so much money on a foreign nation, J.F.K. took the chance and many foreign citizens had way better living conditions than before.
The establishment of the Peace Corps in 1961 was another example of his support to foreign countries. The program is still active to this day and recruits American volunteers to help underdeveloped nations in areas such as education, health care, and construction. Thanks to his accomplishments when he was President, America now is way different than how it used to be before. In his 3 years of presidency, he fixed the entire nation. He fixed problems foreign and domestic and he prevented a nuclear war that could’ve cause a lot of innocent lives. He proved that although he was young, he had a great passion for this country. Thanks to him, the Cold War did not escalated to a nuclear war. Non-white people have the same opportunities as white people and their rights are not being violated. We now have great allies thanks to the continuous support we provide to other countries. With all these being said, President John Fitzgerald Kennedy will ever be an American Hero and should always be
