Personal Mission Statement

As I reflect on my personal life I value life itself to the point I live each day not knowing what to expect the next day. Positivity is a major factor in all that I do to the point of trying to view all things in a positive way and leaving the negativity out the door. As a mother, partner, educator, and entrepreneur I strive to be mindful, spiritual, and conscious of all my actions. I value these things because this is what makes up my life and what I live for each day. My life is a fourth generation person and I relate because I “want to live, love, learn, and leave it like a seed with balance and joy" (Covey, 73) the quality of my life is more important than planning it out. I will continue a life being positive, creative, and straightforward
Living each moment to impact my growth as a mother, partner, educator, and entrepreneur

My organizations value and mission is to provide a collaborative, safe learning environment that nurtures scientific curiosity, encourages innovations, empowers critical thinkers and challenges students to explore the unknown. Through this mission there have been many programs for not only parents, student, and staff, but opportunities to create an ethical climate. As I sit back and think about the last few weeks in this course I can recall our first case study on Walmart. Every organization has situations they go through and seen in a positive or negative way. When I think about the organization that I work for I see the change in the last year-and-a-half that has brought it to a more positive atmosphere where individuals not only feel appreciated, but it is seen all the way around. "Ethical behavior requires understanding and identifying issues, areas of risk, and approaches to making choices in an organizational environment" (Ferrell, 3). Not only has this appreciation changed, but the social structure of the diversity dynamic has changed where individuals can see this was a factor that needed to change.
