In the novel Macbeth, the character Macbeth could solve all of his issues if he would have not killed the king. All humans have the power of free will, and we must choose carefully or situations can snowball out of control. The thought of becoming king really stuck into Macbeth's mind. The witches line "All hail, Macbeth, that shalt be king hereafter!"(Macbeth Act I Sc 3 li. 56-57) had this echo effect that made Macbeth have this everlasting thought of being king. Furthermore, Lady Macbeth would tell him that if he could just man up and kill the king, they would live a wealthy and peaceful life.
