It was exactly twelve in the morning and Gwyn was tapping away at her cellphone keyboard. The wifi in the white house surprisingly sucked and it was annoying. She huffed and rolled over in her queen sized bed, looking around for anything to do. Her dark hair and skin perfectly contrasted with her white bed sheets. The fifteen year old sat up abruptly; something was wrong. It the same feeling a mother gets when they know their children are in danger that the young daughter of the POTUS was feeling in her chest. Her bare feet padded across the cold floor as she made her way to the door and jerked it open, two secret service agents staring right back at her.

“No.. I did not.” The truth felt strange, like it was a lie. Everyone else could see her father, why could she not? Her breathing quicken as she felt her anxiety kick in. It was common in teens across the country, but the president’s daughter probably had the worst of it. Her father was put at risk any time they passed tall buildings or anytime really. It seemed like no one had any answers. Well, they might not. That thought scared her. Her father was gone and there was nothing no one could do about it. She pulled out her phone from her shirt pocket and texted her mom. It was not long before her phone dinged back with a response saying her dad was with her. “Hey lady! How are you closer to my dad than my mom is?!” Dima sighed and dropped her head. “Me and your father were having an affair and you will not tell anybody that unless you want another Bill Clinton scandal on your hands.”
“You are lying. My dad loves my mother and you are just a stupid blonde that probably made a move on my father and are mad because he rejected you.” Gwyn was scared. It was that simple. Even if her father was okay, he was having an affair with a twenty something year old blonde. She did not want to believe it, but how could this woman know that her dad was not really there but her own mother could not. It was true.
