A research found that shark can sense a potential difference of only one millionth volt between two points 1 cm apart.
Shark seems to use this highly sensitive electric sensor to identify the game's location. Researchers lowered the electrode which can generate the similar electric fields a fish generates in the sea and placed minced fish not far from the electrode. Shark approached the minced fish as if attracted. However, at the last moment, it byte the electrode instead of the minced fish.
It is probable that shark detects its game by its smell of blood from far and "sees" it by its electric sensor after it is closer enough.
