The Greenies do not appreciate different opinions from other organizations. This group believes in “my way or the highway.” The Greenies target people maliciously because of their choice to get the cure. “Having fun yet?...I saw them turn trail and run west, screaming with high pitched laughter, the backs of their green heads swimming downstream in a river of darkness”(143). The Greenies decided to attack and physically harm anyone who had received the cure. They do not respect the choice that these citizens have freely made. The Greenies contain an appalling appetite for destruction. Due to their malicious intent, they come off as selfish and ravenousness. The Greenies never mention investigating things for themselves; They appear to be robotic. This group has no idea why they believe what they believe. Since the start of the cure, questions form on the government's position on marriage. Couples argue that when they say forever, they only mean 60 years. Although disclaimers of what "forever" really mean do not appear in vows, with a lifestyle change, comes a marriage alteration. Now, people enter into cycle marriages without hesitation. "But no one told me forever would be this long!"(37). With that said, this mimics dating.
