They claim that their most important stakeholders are the employees, consumers, communities, and stockholders. I think the employees are the face of your company and I think overall they are treated fairly and if you have a good reputation with staff other things can go well. For example customer service is a huge part of the company and if the company treats guests fairly they will continue to go.
Public Issues: Economic Development Subsidies The Walt Disney Company lended money to a near by stadium “in 1998 Disney got the city of Anaheim to contribute $30 million toward the cost of renovating the stadium used by the California Angels baseball team owned by the company at the time.” (Mattera) Disney knew the overpopulation problem of the city and they knew not only would it benefit the public, but I’m sure they knew the benefits it would bring to The Disneyland Resort. There are no recovering lives that they could have saved from the poor work conditions, I don’t give them any justification. Especially for not staying and helping as they should have. Also the damage that they could have caused from the hazardous materials they irresponsibly disposed of. Perhaps if they weren’t caught they would have continued to do it. I hope that would have not been the case if not shame to the individuals that don’t have good intentions for us all. At the end of the day we only have one world whether you are rich or poor, we all live in one place. The water getting polluted we will all eventually have to drink.
The Walt Disney Company has taken proactive steps to help children, the environment and bettering many people’s future. I will continue to present more pictures on the slides I will present in class. Doing research on the company overall makes me proud to be an employee, but I don’t want to feel ashamed for future mistakes. I would like to be the person to prevent damages, and foresee daily operations in order for us to all live in a safer world. In any company that I work for I think it is a moral responsibility to always do the right
