The revolution is now” (Nihal Mehta). To be mobile, it means when an object is able to move or be moved freely and easily. Being mobile relates to mobile phones and handheld computers. Mobile computing now is technology that allows the transferring of data wirelessly without having the need to be connected physically. According to James Wright from Opposingviews writes , “Online communication has opened the door to new ways of communicating with strangers and taking part in communities. Chat rooms, discussion forums and dating sites let people meet each other and get to know more people without having to be there in person” (How technology has improved communication, par 4). In other words, the use of a mobile device connected to the internet or a cellular network, allows users to have different methods on how to interact. Having a mobile device helps improve the communication between users trying to meet new users. The James Kendrick from ZDnet states, “Communication is wonderfully impacting our ability to stay close to friends and family. We can talk to them anytime to find out how they are doing. We can have video chats to not only stay in touch but to reach out and touch with a nearly physical presence. Loved ones can share in special occasions from great distances as if they are in the same room. We can make funny faces for our kids when we can 't be there with them, which is far more important than it sounds” (Mobile Technology: The amazing impact on our lives, par 6). After many years of teaching the same or similar lesson plans, it can be challenging to keep students engaged and show enthusiasm as you’re presenting lessons. To state it in a different way, since smartphones are capable of accessing videos and educational guides over the Internet, they create a great tool for students. Although the students are benefiting from these devices, the teachers are too. With the use of these mobile devices in the classroom, they help the teachers create lessons to keep students engaged in class.
