It heavily affected those who participated and those who were involved in it. Despite people learning about the deadly effects of discrimination and hatred it still happens in many different places in the world today. Even after this devastating event occurred, history still repeated itself with other catastrophic genocides throughout the world. Survivors are still threatened in current day by ignorant people such as Donald Trump. For example, when Trump asked his supporters to raise their right hand such as Hitler did years ago. This shows how often history can be repeated and not for the better. Other examples of modern day discrimination would be how America is supposed to be the land of liberty and the free yet we aren’t allowing Syrian refugees into our country due to the fact that people are so unaccepting of other religions or ways of living. The people also stereo type all Muslims as terrorists which is why they are so unaccepted.
