Imagine being stereotyped as somebody who commits crimes, does drugs, and produces no good into society. This is what the American people think of the poor just because of the limited resources they have. People define the poor as lacking money to sustain an average standard of living. Americans feel like they can blame all of the problems on the poor because they see them as inferior. American people oppress the poor because they see them as unsophisticated, indolent, and deficient people who create harm to society.

Anybody who tries to seek out for help is seen as weak,harmful,and inferior to others in America. Americans see poor people as just staying on government programs to get free money by not doing anything. They don’t see them as bringing any benefits into society and sucking the resources dry. The poor works lots of hours just enough to sustain life, and they don’t complain one bit about it. The American people need to get the stereotype of poor people are just lazy people ,and see that they are trying to defeat poverty with the limited resources they have. If the poor were to receive money to help put there foot in the door of success, then they would show how much they can really do if Americans just stopped oppressing them for one second. They don’t see them as human beings that are equal, but as problems that are inferior to them. If Americans want to end poverty , it is going to have to start with them seeing the poor as hard working human
