In the past I have always chosen to give myself some huge amount of time one evening to finish a task, to sit down for 5 hours with all the distractions in the world. Have some show on in the background that I would be half watching, check my phone every time it went off, and let myself get further distracted when I got even the slightest bit bored or side tracked. I also think that I am going to help get my blood flowing and stretch for a nice half hour before finding a designated work space to sit down and get to business. After sitting down you would set a timer for about 20-25 minutes, probably more on the 20 minute side for me since attention time is roughly a person's age, and I am 18. Then you straight concentrate for that time period. Once that it is up I would take my well deserved 5 minute break, then resume another 20 minute study session. As soon as I complete 4 sessions of intense concentration then I reward myself with a more substantial break, which I am leaning towards being half an hour so I can enjoy an episode of
