In the current political climate, the abortion debate has become extremely divisive. But how did it become so polarizing? The abortion debate has become a hot button issue in this current election.…

In an outdoor amphitheater, somewhere in the mountains of California, I sat, in between hundreds of kids in staggered rows. I was looking at a man, strutting back and forth in front of a campfire, as if he were a general planning for a conquest. Every word that came out of this man’s mouth was a blur but his voice was unforgettable. Like an auctioneer yelling into the microphone, he zealously talked about Jesus and salvation. The man commanded us to ask for forgiveness and appreciate what God has done for us.…

Although abortion is not a topic that you would bring up in everyday conversation, it is happening everyday. Since the Abortion Act 1967, there has been over 8 million abortions in the UK which is nearly the population of London or Scotland and Wales put together. It is estimated that there are at least 50 million abortions performed worldwide every year. Abortion is very common due to women’s confidence in that they will have a skilled doctor and will be in a clean and safe environment, which wasn’t the case 40 years ago. About a third of women in the UK will have an abortion by the time they are 45.…
