Whether we like to admit it or not at some point in our lives we all lie. From the time we were born we developed the skill of lying. Overtime the devious ability has twisted its way into our genetic code so that now it is barely recognizable. We tell small lies on a daily basis. Sometimes these instances are to protect ourselves, avoid awkward situations, or to protect others. Usually these lies go unacknowledged until they affect our lives on a grander scale. When trust is broken in a relationship, whether it be with a sibling, partner, teacher, etc., is the only time we truly begin to see the destruction that a lie has.
