The actor who played Ariel was lacking in actual emotion which was disappointing since Ariel only has one emotion, angry. The actor who played Tupolski did a very good job, especially with the voice he used to bring the character to life.Then there was the actor who played Michael, played him very well especially since Michael was a mentally challenged character. The actor that played Katurian did a great job he brought emotion to the play but he wasn’t spoken up enough which made his acting seem sort of weak. That is not to say that he didn’t do a good job because he did but he just didn’t have a strong impact as an actor.The actors in the Pillowman did a great jobs except for a few people that didn't bring the actors to life.
Thirdly is the lighting which was my favorite part of the play. The lighting in the pillowman really set the tone in the play by specifying the mood. For example when Katurian was telling about his horrible and dark past, the lighting turned red to make the mood seem horrifying. There was also when the light was solely on Katurian to represent the fact that he didn’t know where he was at. The whole lighting design really made me feel a great variety of moods during the
