In The Pigman, there were a lot of objects that symbolized different things. For instance, Bobo represented what Mr. Pignati was like. Furthermore, when Lorraine and John went to the zoo with Mr. Pignati for the first time, they were introduced to Bobo. When they were showed Bobo, Mr. Pignati introduced him as his best friend. Additionally, when you consider a baboon your “best friend”, it might symbolize loneliness. To begin with, baboons can’t talk or do anything with you so when your best friend is something that you visit once a day and feed peanuts to, it represents how his life is going.
