In The Pigman, by Paul Zindel, two teenagers named John and Lorraine become friends with an older man they call the Pigman. Several characters in the book die, or have already been dead. Death is a part of life. The Pigman and the Pigwoman both died. I think the Pigwomans death caused loneliness for the Pigman, and he was going to die soon, as stated in this quote, John says, “If you ask me, I think he would have died anyway”. Their were lots of things that led up to his death like stress from the party that was thrown at his house, and shock from the baboon at the zoo dying. Lorraine’s dad died when she was very young.
