However, when they first spoke to the Pigman, it was originally a prank call that had started it, which lead to John and Lorraine pretending to be charity workers and getting ten dollars from Mr. Pignati. From that point in chapter four they could see that, Mr. Pignati liked to tell jokes and have fun. By the time that chapter five comes around they are taking their first visit to Mr. Pignati, the Pigman. The Pigman was friendly to them as if they had been friends who haven’t seen each other in a few months.
In chapter six Mr. Pignati takes them to the zoo and spoils them like children and show him his ‘friend’ Bobo, who was a baboon at the primate house. When they were at the zoo Lorraine got upset at one point when the seals were being fed because she knew that they wanted to chase after it like they were still in the wild but, the zoo keepers just dumped the fish into the water unimaginatively. Also, when they were at the zoo Lorraine noticed omen, and Lorraine wrote about how she overlooked them. Chapter seven consisted of John telling of his home life at first, where he seems to be antagonized, before going to the topic of the Pigman and about how Lorraine first tried scungilli, causing her to barf because when she asked what they were it turned out that they were snails. Unfortunately, there was quite a predicament and both of them were worried about the Pigman. When the cops showed up they asked John and Lorraine various questions and when they didn’t know neither of them knew John just made and answer up off the top of his head. John and Lorraine argued like an old married couple about John going up the stairs in roller skates. Eventually, the next they went to visit the Pigman at the hospital and to see him, and they had to be immediate family so they said that they were his kids. John and Lorraine negotiated with the Pigman, in a small chat and the Pigman told them that they could stop by his house and that they should check on Bobo every so often. Decisively, they went to the Pigman’s home afterward and they had decided to make some spaghetti before John mysteriously disappeared for awhile. When John showed his face, there was a fake mustache and was dressed in the Pigman’s clothes, he looked like an infantile child trying to wear their father’s shoes. John was requested, by Lorraine, to watch the pasta and she ran off to go put on some of the Pigman’s wife’s clothing. Appearing fancy with a feather in her hair, the two ran around and ended up running into a bedroom where John kissed Lorraine. Thus, the chapter ended with them eating quietly.
