Jesus once told a story about two very different kinds of prayers. The first person that prayed was a very religious person called Pharisee, they thought their own goodness was so impressive that it could not fail to make them acceptable to God. The Pharisee in the story is the essence of one who is self justifying. He does not ask for forgiveness for his sins, because he believes he has nothing to confess. If we are broken hearted over our sin we can be assure of Gods boundless love and forgiveness in Christ. Pharisee was exceptionally religious. He had a place with a group of the Jews that went to unnecessary extremes in attempting to comply with the laws. Yes, because it came from the inner soul, something that he truly believes in, giving that person something to hold on to and look forward to. According to the Bible he spoke truly and highly of himself, he thought he was better than those around him. He was so wrapped up in himself that when it was time to pray, everything inside of him spilled out. For example just because the Pharisee gave all to Jesus and prayed everyday, does that mean the tax collector who wouldn’t have been seen praying still manages to ask God for forgiveness, for the things he have done. Yes, It’s a good thing because anytime a person knows they are doing something wrong, meaning they want to change trying or just need help or crying out for help. Jesus would tell a story like this so that people can get a better understanding that just because one walk into the church or pray everyday, that doesn’t mean that the next person doesn’t pray to him or herself. One life circumstance I had that change my out look was when I was in a car accident and woke up in the hospital four days later I got to my hands and knees and cried thanking him for allowing me wake up to only have a broken rotor cup and sprain neck. Two: my second life experience when I went jet skiing one summer and me and my cousin crashed in to a mountain and I flew from one side of the water to the other, as I gliding across the water I prayed to god please help me lord. Three; my third life experience was when one year my brother took his team to the championship and two quarters left in the game he tore his ACL and sprained his ankle ad all I could hear was me and everyone around praying that he walked off safely.four:last life experience is when I found out that my little sister had sickle cell and that it was possibility that thing wasn’t gone be looking good and that her blood conut was highly low I didn’t know what to do, who to turn to, so one night I couldn’t sleep I just climb to the roof and cried and cried and put my head back and just yell up to god yelling please don’t don’t take her from me and how I needed her in my life many may not believe but he heard me,cause as of today I can call or even wrap my arms around my little
