According to the Pew Ideology Poll I am classified under the category of Solid Liberals, along with about 65% of my classmates. When I analyze my views with the pew typology profiles I find that most of my views align with the secular democrat profile. My political opinions are strongly driven by social issues, I am not very religious, I am very pro-environment, I support government to the extent that it functions efficiently and is not manipulated by money and power. These views on politics are nearly identical to secular democratic views and not very similar to any other voter classification. I think that most classical liberals are very likely to support funding of Planned Parenthood because Planned Parenthood supports freedom from restriction and empowerment. Not to mention that Planned Parenthood funding is supported by over 60% of US citizens and liberals value the state as a contract between individuals thus liberals would be in favor of majority opinion. (Planned Parenthood Funding Poll Results) Radicals also seem likely to align with government support of Planned Parenthood because revolutionary rights is a political ideal of radicals and the services which Plan Parenthood provide are considered revolutionary by much of society including abortion services. Conservatives are likely aligned with the perspective that government should not fund Planned parenthood for several reasons. First, conservatives respect the traditions of yesterday which in this case is that contraception is meddling in the way of god and abortion is murder. Contraception and abortion being two of the five major services which planned parenthood provides. (Why Planned Parenthood Is a Valuable Organization That Should Continue Being Funded) Secondly the conservative view is disrtustful of change, change in this case representing the view that contraception and abortions are both new and radical from a traditional view. Lastly conservatives view human nature as fundamentally flawed which in this case means the human desire to protect against sexually transmitted disease and prevent abortion may be what people desire but in reality it goes against the natural order of reproduction and
