My grandfather’s death had me thinking that he passed away from working hard, trying to make something out of nothing, making a living and being devoted to grandmother and his family. Death has always been seen as the essence of misery, darkness, and evil. When people are exposed to the concept of dying, they are frightened, because death leads to lands that are unknown to man. People, when they think of death, are reminded of how they lost their loved ones to it, how they have mourned those they will never be able to see again. However, while this is the widespread view of the afterlife, there are people who see death as a new beginning.…

Death is a daunting thing to think about, whether it is your own death, or the death of another being in your life. Thinking of a person's immortality, and the idea that someone could “disappear” in a way from physical life can be very confusing, overwhelming and hard to comprehend. About two years, I lost two people who were very close to me. I was only 15 at the time and I couldn't ever really recall trying to understand death before that time. It was never my reality so I never took it into consideration.…

“Death is almost always inconvenient” (Shelly & Miller, 2006). It is hard to accept or see someone dying. In my carrier, I have seen many patients died during my shift; however, it affects me emotionally and difficult to accept as the person is no longer with us. When I worked in long term care facility, I got more engaged with patient’s daily activity and they became like a family. When any one of them died, I started feeling grief and could not control my tears.…

I did not go to her funeral, it was held in Florida and I was in Colorado taking exams.…

When I was in third grade my grandfather was diagnosed with stage four carcinoid cancer. Stage four essentially means that it has reached the body 's lymph nodes and thus it can infect nearly any part of the body. While this diagnosis was bad, it never hit me how bad it was until sophomore year when he appeared to have suffered from a stroke. We got lucky however and it was Bell 's Palsy, and while that was definitely better than a stroke it was still worrisome, this was the first time I realized just how bad this was. Then the bombshell hit, my papa was diagnosed with melanoma cancer in his left arm, and as a result had to have all his lymph nodes in that arm removed, and began a new experimental form of chemotherapy alongside what he was…
