It’s a family name and has been kept along the generations, but the curse has only followed me. The feeling of always being watched has stuck with me since I was young due to the figure. I have realized that the mind is a very powerful thing, but when it comes to the shadow, every nerve, sense, and feeling is firing at all circuits. The closer it gets the crazier my mind thinks and can turn a simple drip of a sink into the scariest situation. I pray every night for that feeling to go away and I get reassurance that it will because for that moment it disappears sending me into a deep sleep, but that’s when it happens. It was never being awake the memories or thoughts that overwhelmed my mind, it was the dreams. It was always there showing itself only for the smallest moments, as if it wanted me to know where. Every dream was so vivid I can remember them all and that for sure is no fantasy. I never heard a voice or a sound from it, but could feel it whenever it was around me. It was always watching, always making sure I was alive basically. No one else could feel it or see it but me. I would only be able to catch a glimpse of it, while driving every time I looked in the mirror I would catch it slowly leaving the corner and just seeing that dark spot set me off every time.
