During research of the principle, I found that I have created my own objective and subjective truth definition for proper contextual use in my paper. Objective truth I define as the actual, factual, and provable records of events. Subjective truth I define as a truth adhering by an individual person 's personal perspective, feelings/emotional, or opinions/ideas. In both stories, the first person narrative may use the details of the surrounding current events for the plots setting to exhibit a slight objective truth factual and accurate historical. In contrast, the main focus, instead of the historical accuracy, should be fixated on the foundation of each story’s narrative style. First person memory reliance is each stories narrative style and they both use the regurgitation of the historical traumatic experiences by the individual characters and that encompasses their perspective, feelings/emotions, and/or opinions/personal agendas. Thus, subjective truth serves to be the most influential and the most important aspect when properly regurgitating the first person historical and traumatic events. Throughout both stories there are many arguable similarities and differences, but I turn choose to focus on the process and factors in which influence each story and influence how it was transpired to the reader. Both Maus and Waltz with Bashir focus on the first person perspective using memory regurgitation of their memories, the qualities of persistence and fallible are demonstrated throughout both graphic novels, and each influential factor plays a role, not only in the graphic novel medium used, but also the memories used to create both storylines. Memory is a very ambiguous human ability in nature in that it displays fallibility and persistence. Finally, in both graphic novels ultimately they demonstrate an important conceptual connection between the principles of objective and subjective truth, regarding first person traumatic historical event regurgitation and
