The Perfect Vacation
Ahh. . . What I would give to be back in Islamorada, Florida. Islamorada is one of the many sections of the Florida Keys. I would like to call this little piece of Earth paradise. Although I have only visited Islamorada once, it is my all-time favorite. I cannot imagine going anywhere else and falling in love like I did in the Keys. Stepping outside into a nice, cool breeze is refreshing. I love that I was able to sleep with the windows open, feeling

The very last night of vacation, we decided to cook everything we caught; from fresh baked lobster smothered in garlic butter to battered filleted yellow-tail, I can honestly say it was the best meal I have ever eaten. The lobster tasted so sweet I could have eaten it as dessert. There is no taste like yellow-tail snapper; one bite and I was doomed to add more to my

At night in the summertime it is even more peaceful and the scents and air are different. The air feels warm yet breezy and filled with the scent of pine trees and bark. The water feels a bit warmer because the sun has been beating on it all day. You can’t really see anything below you, and that’s what makes it awesome because it creates a sense of curiosity, but a bit freaky at the same time. Laying on my back in the water and looking up at the stars and the moon, is just a pretty sight.…

La piedra de Guatape (The Rock of Guatape) I remember the very moment I saw it; I was getting out of the car, and as soon as I looked up, I could not blink for at least a minute, the stateliness of the massive black rock in the middle of the lake was astonishing.
