This paper will contain a look at the challenges managers face when trying to get people to work together, and the misperceptions of “the perfect team”. We are also looking into some personal experiences from one of the people hired by Google to help them find out why some teams prosper while other fail.
It’s said that Googles fundamental belief, as is true for many other companies, is that its only when a team comes together that you actually get the best ideas out of each person, and the best way of getting things done (Duhigg 2016). But one of the biggest questions is how to build the perfect team. Google knew that teams was the answer to, not only, efficient and effective workers, but also to getting the best out of each individual. With this in mind, they started a project called Project Aristotle.
Project Aristotle was Googles quest on trying to figure out how to build the perfect team. Initially their hypothesis was that the best teams are the teams where you put people together who like each other (Duhigg 2016).
