My Family: The Roles Of A Perfect Family

Families come in all different shapes and sizes. Some families are really large, and some families are smaller. Some families have a larger number of older members, and other families are younger. One thing that is for sure is that everyone in a family has their own roles that plays a big part in how a family works. The perfect picture of a family usually includes brothers, sisters, a mother, a father, aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents. However, most families are not as diverse and structured as the so-called perfect family. I myself have a very small tight-knit family that is very young and non-traditional. I am sure that everyone has had to endure these unexpected expenses from time to time. Well, in my family I often find myself in situations where I have to fix something that is broke. Unfortunately, nobody else can or wants to fix the problem, I have made it a personal choice to teach my children that being able to fix something themselves has so many benefits. I will instill to them that they should also teach their children the same. Plus, it will save time in the long run because, it seems like every time I go home I have to fix something that is broken. My skill set is a benefit to my family because of the mechanical skills I have developed from my education. The knowledge I have acquired come from my courses along with being naturally mechanically inclined lead to me being reliable to fix things around the house. It can feel like a burden, but I realize that everyone has a role to play and contribute where they can make a difference. I hope that because of the things I have grown to deal with in my life that I can teach the next generation to do it themselves. I plan on instilling into my children the importance of being able to do many “handy-man” jobs so they can do things themselves in emergency
