The Peace Corps for myself stands for a way to further educate; further, educate others, and myself included. Having an education in Healthcare Administration, being in healthcare is much like being an educator to peers and contributing to improving the health of the majority. This opportunity will be a real test to be more compassionate to others and have the hands-on experience with diverse cultural backgrounds while knowing I am making a difference. After traveling abroad in high school, I was sure that it was my destiny to see a wide array of cultures. With the eagerness to learn, the motivation instilled in my being will drive me to power through any hardships I am to face. My experiences in being a dormitory Resident Assistant have offered me a glimpse into leading, building, and managing a small community of 52 students. …show more content…
Listening to heartbreaking issues of family, friends, and difficulty adjusting. Although, I pushed on with a smile on my face and the attitude to make a positive experience for new students without judgment. Watching my fellow students grow and help overcome obstacles was deeply gratifying. I believe the vehicle to being a life-long learner is to further educate one’s self. Doing so by, accepting many unique experiences head on. The Peace Corps is a trying experience whether I am a teacher or engaged in Public Health. I see both being a tremendously valuable and heart filling opportunity to take part in, to develop into the best person I can be and educate myself and others while doing
