The Patriots In Tom Brady's Super Bowl

Decent Essays
The reason the Patriots are in the Super Bowl for the 7th time in Tom Brady’s career is because of his leadership and consistency on and off the field. On the field he picks apart all the defenses in the NFL. He doesn’t have to have good receivers to make them good. He makes them good because of his work ethic in practice and his timing and his accuracy. Brady was suspended the first four games of the year this season and he still ended the season with MVP numbers. He finished with 28 touchdowns and 2 interceptions. That’s an incredible stat that no other quarterback came close to this season. No matter the competition Brady finds a way to get the job done. In the divisional round against the number one ranked defense in the league this year

With his ability to throw the ball downfield, accurate on his throws, calm in the pocket, and the ability to run with the ball when pressure comes or no wide receivers are open, no wonder why San Francisco paid him so much. In the last year of his 4 year rookie deal, Garoppolo who was still in New England at the time was asking for a big payday and a starting job. With Tom Brady planning to play for a few more years, after looking at how much he is getting paid, the Patriots did the right thing by trading him for a second round pick rather than let him walk in free agency and get nothing back for him.…

Baker Mayfield, out of the University of Oklahoma, is the most controversial quarterback in this year’s rookie class. The first overall draft pick, 2017 Heisman Trophy winner, and newest member of the Cleveland Browns, is the subject of many skeptical views. He served a one game suspension for these actions on the sideline. While his ambition is no doubt an issue, his talent is by no means tarnished by this.…
