Moses eventually trusted and remained faithful to God’s will and that allowed Moses to encounter God. As Dr. Joy Gros states, it requires experience, tradition, and culture to reflect on a narrative as great as this one. Personally, I have encountered God. I didn’t encounter God through a burning bush, but I encountered God through the light of the Holy Spirit. This past summer, I attended a retreat called Divine Mercy Encounter. This was one of the best weekends of my life. Before this weekend, I would encounter God at weekly Mass but not on a daily basis like I do now. I encountered God that weekend through the strength of the Holy Spirit throughout the various events of Adoration, Mass, and through the spiritual leaders that guided the retreatants that weekend. Not only did I see God that weekend, I trusted Him and remained faithful to Him and that allowed myself to receive Him that weekend. Since that weekend, I encounter God every day and because I remain trustworthy and faithful like Moses did eventually, God gives me providential life care by always blessing me with a multitude of
