She has given up dreams of hers and she has mentally put herself under so much pressure in order to give us a good life. Her job has ultimately destroyed her in the process. I can see the way it slowly has changed her, and I can see that she is not the happy, optimistic woman she once was. However, the numbers on our FAFSA sadly do not show the mental struggle she has to face on a daily basis.
My dad is the man that I have always looked up to. He is the man that has shaped me into the hardworking person I am. Every day he goes above and beyond his call of duty in order to keep the company running, oftentimes fixing coworkers’ mistakes and working hours much longer than what should be asked of him. He leaves for work before the sun comes up every morning and gets home long after it has set.
