While it sounds so simple, one of the hardest things to do is to hit a baseball. The best baseball players in the world are expected to hit the ball 30% of the time, and they are paid millions of dollars to do so. Baseball has been a passion of mine throughout my life. Since the age of 5, I have been working towards perfecting the skill of hitting. I have practiced hours at a time whether it be by going to the batting cages, hitting off a tee, or facing live pitching, in hopes of improving my batting average. It would be impossible to count the number of times I have swung a baseball bat throughout my life. While I do not face pitchers who throw 90 miles per hour, as a varsity baseball player and captain, I still play against fierce competition.
