Mr. Hunderts is a History teacher at St. Benedict’s School. He’s been teaching for three generations. He hasn't had any incidents till he met a student, named Sedgwick Bell. In the story, the narrator learns to be true, to never give up, and to be more than just a teacher. In the beginning of “the palace thief”, Mr. Hunderts introduces himself and the school he worked for. He also talks about a student name Sedgewick. He discussed the challenges he faced while teaching his history class. Mr. Hunderts have never dealt with a student like Bell. Sedgewick was known for his foul behavior. You will merely teach him.” The senator is telling the narrator that he should follow the role of being just a teacher. That's when the narrator realizes that Bell’s father has an impact on his behavior. He said, “I consider what it must have been like to have been raised under such a tyrant.” The narrator has no problem with the senator, but he thought the senator’s attitude during the meeting was

Although Miss Ferenczi teaching methods contrasted that of Mr.Hibler and other instructors, Miss Ferenczi tends to be a great teacher because of her enthusiastic approach with initiating class, aiding students in expanding their imagination, and her compassion towards students when they encounter a mistake. He is failing to see reality in one way or another . In the story he is invited to repeat his valedictory speech in which he said that " humility was the secret , indeed , the very essence of progress" (449) before the white leaders of the town. These men, however, humiliate the protagonist and some other black youths by forcing them to engage in a "battle royal," a blindfolded fist fight in which the last standing participant is victorious and tempting them to fight for counterfeit coins tossed on an electrified rug. Even after being degraded, beaten up, used, and treated like an animal the narrator still wants to impress his abusers and he delivers his oration. Brave did not seem to think highly of any of her children and did not care to voice her opinion around them or her sister. Also, Moon seemed impressionistic since Brave’s introduction of her children seemed to prompt her to have a negative take on them. Once household duties were resumed after Moon’s arrival, Brave quickly realized that Moon was unable to perform tasks needed to be done around the house.…

Alright! Now that we're discussing a section of the Old Testament, it is easier to dissect the texts and get into exegesis! (Although I remember doing this passage in orientation) There appear to be four qualities that the Kӑsdīm (Chaldeans) were looking for, among the Hebrew captives, to work in the King's palace: Physical attractiveness Application of Knowledge (Prudence and wisdom) Knowledge/teachability Strength/aptitude Most translations do not translate the last quality as strength, as in the King James Version. They translate it as, "and such as had ability in them to stand in the king's palace" (Daniel 1:4). This seems like a logical way to translate the word "Koaḥ" from the Hebrew.…

A Palace in Time places an emphasis on an essential component that aids in living a good life, having our own version of a Sabbath. In the reading, a Sabbath is described as being useful for more than just a spiritual purpose or a connection among the real and spiritual world. It is also about restoring ourselves for the following week and being connected to the part that makes us human. It can be easy to lose sight of this as we focus on repetitive and tedious schedules on a daily basis. As the author in A Palace of Time puts it "Labor is a craft, but perfect rest is an art.…
