The Outsiders: Comparing The Book To The Movie

“Books and Movies are like apples and oranges. They both are fruit, but taste completely different” - Stephen King. Now I chose this quote because I will be comparing The Outsiders book to the movie, personally I think the book was better because it is the original think it was made a lot better than the movie. Although the movie did help me imagine all the characters and some of the scenes in the book a lot better. The book had a lot more details about the characters and their lives, like Sodapop and his horse, how Pony’s english teacher was the one who inspired him to write the Outsiders, and many more enticing details. Another thing about how the book was better was Johnny’s death scene in the movie was really cheesy and not very good, but in the book it was emotional and very well written.
