How does it feel when someone loses their parents and only having your friends and siblings also having two of your best friends die. Well in the story “The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton” a boy named Ponyboy was in the situation. Since Ponyboy’s parents died, he is staying with his brothers not going into a boys home.
Darry and also Sodapop is Ponyboy’s brother and take care of Ponyboy and it should stay like that. Darry is constantly worrying about Ponyboy every day. If the cops found out he is going to have to be in the system, and won't able to see Darry, Sodapop or his friends. Darry loves and supports Pony and makes sure Pony goes to school and also gets good grades. Darry always checks up on Pony “I gulped, and opened the door softly. Darry looked up from his paper. He was on his feet in a second. I stood there, chewing on my fingernail. ‘Where the heck have you been? Do you know what time it is ?’ He was madder than I'd seen him in a long time. If there were kids who old enough to take care of their other sibling and their parents died that shouldn't mean they should be separated and have different parents and if the kids are young, have them in the same family“Darry sighed, just like I knew he would. Darry never had time to do anything anymore.’I’m working tomorrow night”(Hinton,p.14), That shows that Darry works hard for Soda and Pony. He is working to provide food and a house for them.
