The book we read was named The Outsiders, we also watched the movie. The Outsiders is about a gang with an interesting group of guys and these guys are known for greasers. I had to find out the differences between the book and the movie. There is not a lot of big things that are different do I had to search for the little things that wouldn't stand out so much. I did find a couple so I will talk about them in the next paragraph. I will also talk about the gangs appearance and there is 7 members in the group. Their names are Ponyboy, Johnny Cade, Two Bit Mathews, Steve Randle, Dallas Winston, Sodapop, and Darry. The author made this book have a message because it's not just about the gang it's more than that because all the characters in the book are going through a crises so they treat each other like family but it's interesting how they deal with the crisis. …show more content…
While Ponyboy was at the movies with Cherry Valance, they were talking about his brothers but Ponyboy never talked about Sodas horse like he did in the book. It seems that Ponyboy gets to spend for time with Cherry because the conversation is a lot longer in the book. When Johnny and Ponyboy are at the lot talking Ponyboy says that he misses having a dog and in the movie he didn't say anything about having a dog. In the book when Ponyboy gets home late and Darry gets mad at him because he was worried they get in a fight. Ponyboy screamed at Darry and Darry slaps him but in the movie Darry pushes him down. In the book when Darry hit Ponyboy, Ponyboy froze for a while then ran out of the house but in the movie he ran out right

In both of them it seemed as if he wanted to die and he was being chased by the cops because he robbed a store. The cops shot him because he pulled a gun even if it wasn’t loaded. It is easy to think of a suspect charged with a crime as threatening if one does not know anything about the circumstances or reasoning behind the actions of the individual. Opinions are not enduring, they change overtime as one learns more about who or what they are identifying. Ponyboy Curtis, a character in The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton, has many opinions of both his friends and foes. As the book progresses, Pony’s opinion of his friend Dally, his brother Darry, and his enemy Bob all completely change when he understands other people’s perspectives which ultimately mature his own. But in the film, he began with Ponyboy, Johnny, and Dally walking to the movies. The next difference from the beginning of the story was when Cherry asked Pony to go with her to buy some popcorn and drinks for the rest as in Johnny, Marcie, and the other two socs which also was a difference because those socs didn’t appear to talk to Cherry and Marcie. Next difference was inside the store to buy snacks and drinks there was happing an argument which wasn’t in the book as well. Third, difference was when Pony and Johnny were leaving to take Johnny to his house and both of them saw Johnny’s parents arguing. Which didn’t happen in the book, in the book Ponyboy and Johnny were at the lot before going to their houses.…
