When several people hear the word hero, they will most likely refer to Peter Pan, Superman or even Bat man. What does a hero actually mean? A hero is someone who is admired for their strength, exceptional achievements, and their impressive qualities. Is a hero really only recognized from saving the world from villains, or, is it possible that someone may be called a hero for doing random acts of kindness (www.thecareyvan.org.) In the book The Outsiders, written by S.E Hinton, Johnny Cade, a character from the novel, can be described as a hero, based on all the heroic acts he has done. Johnny is known as a typical Greasers.
