In The Death of King Arthur, the outing of Lancelot’s affair with the queen caused the demise of King Arthur’s Round Table. Many in King Arthur’s court knew of the affair between Lancelot and Queen Guinevere, including Arthur himself. However, none chose to make the information public for this would cause Lancelot to be accused of treachery and sentenced to death leading to the end of King Arthur’s valiant court.
